Liverpool’s Covid19 journey Strand Street in Liverpool's city centre is deserted as the country goes into its first lockdown in March 2020. Theatres and restaurants in the city's once lively Georgian Quarter are eerily quiet as the culture and hospitality sector are shut down. The doors of once busy restaurants are closed and padlocked. Safety measures are implemented to protect shoppers at a supermarket in the city. As vulnerable people are told to stay at home Liverpool City Council staff prepare food parcels to support those people that can't go out. Essential food items are placed in to food parcels to support the most vulnerable people in the city. Food parcels are organised by suburb ready for collection.
